I played D2 and D3 college ball (Ik it’s not D1), so I use my ball knowledge to play the madden games and I can confidently say I am comp in those games. I don’t run cheesy plays, I run situational plays I remember running IRL and it’s got me into the top 300 for madden. But switching over to CF25 was probably the worst decision for me, mentally haha😂 I swore I had a nightmare about this game. Defense is too hard online h2h and it’s practically impossible to tackle. It’s way too arcade-like. I get it, there’s a lot of scoring in college football (Ik I played college ball) but why is there 4-5 broken tackles back to back to back to back to back in a single play. Tackling and playing defense in general is broken, you get random fumbles when players are still running upright without the ball, players phasing through players for tackles (feels like old-gen madden 21), you get ball carriers SURROUNDED by my defense but they break one tackle and they’re somehow in the open field, Receivers not even attempting to catch the ball when the ball is well within their rectile circle, whiff tackles, poor pursuit angles, players get a speed boost from broken tackles, QBs missing wide open quick throws when he’s not even pressured, free runners at QB while blocking with 7 players, making coaching adjustments do not matter, etc, etc, oh and etc. I just simply don’t get it. Remember, I said I was a top 300 player in Madden, now I’m questioning if I’m even good at football myself…😭😭😂😂 I’m stressing for my life every play. Ik it’s only a game, but it’s simply not enjoyable to play online against kids who don’t know anything. RTG/Dynasty is meh. Just over hyped by old people drunk on nostalgia. Football iq DOES NOT help you. Just people who are good at exploiting a video game. Any sort of ball knowledge you have just simply gets thrown out the window. You’re simply at the mercy of the AI. I want to love the game like everyone else, but this game makes me wanna throw my controller at my tv. I’ve never had a video game experience before this for sure😭😭😂🤦🏽‍♂️
