BRAVO!! This series will stay w/ me emotionally for awhile. Not a wonder why it won so many Emmy’s! But I do think they could’ve sweeped the awards shows in so many other categories. The amazing & thoughtful script was casted perfectly. It’s obvious the writers spoke from the heart about life experiences, culture, mental health, family, emotions, dark humor & society expectations to achieve wealth & success. It did not seem to be a rushed script. I’ve been stuck lately trying to find a new series that I could binge & was worth watching. So many series we’re STILL waiting to return due to COVID, writers/actor strikes causing a long recovery period. This was a perfect solution to satisfy that need for worthy tv w/ a believable story & characters to get emotionally invested in. I adore Steven Yeung but also, the whole cast just pulled everything together by not focusing on only his character. The depth of emotions & family relationships are ones I believe we all feel or can identify with in some way. Even if those may not mean the same to everyone you can understand others might. Bc this series does such a fantastic job promoting the importance of every human knowing what the definition is of empathy! I was satisfied w/ the ending & selfishly would've loved to see another season. But it really did a great job w/ creating a beautiful & kinda surprising ending. A must see!
