From the get go this film throws you straight into battle, and does well capturing the desperation, and the mind set the of main characters. You can tell they are just living day by day with no real hope and that they are broken to the point they are barely human anymore. It also demonstrates really well how war can turn somebody into a person they never thought they could be. Until the last fight scene I would have given this film a strong 8/10 but for some reason the director decided to end it with American hero drivel, with a dose of unrealistic statements before dying for good measure. I really cant understand why the director didnt stick with the brutal, no frills, front line experience that the rest of the film was. But its still a good watch.
