Loved the book. The author knows how to tell a story, keep it moving, and surprise the reader at the end. One reader called the book plagiarism. Of course, by definition it is not. Yes, there are similar tropes to other books. All books, songs, plays, and movies resemble some earlier work. Every good writer or song writer is influenced by his or her predecessor. No writer is an island.
