I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t a bit too schematic. The cycle of life, which is the film’s central idea, feels unfortunate due to the inevitability of death at the end. However, everyone strives for happiness despite the awareness of that conclusion. It's sad.

Too soapy, snotty, and glossy. I watched Sweet Magnolias to the end because I am learning English and am not a native speaker. However, I found it overly soapy, sentimental, and overly polished, with poor directing, acting, and content. The elderly characters wearing blush and children with lipstick felt unrealistic, and the heroes were unconvincing. I couldn’t imagine a worse show.
