Mank is a vision and a joy to watch - if you simply remain open to accepting the pleasures of gorgeous, masterful, sense-of-timeless cinematography, robust expert, teetering-on-the-brink-of-hammy acting, and crisp, literate dialogue that’s often pugnacious but usually with a wink and a nod. Really, those are all baked in; check other reviews for content details. Or you can make work by choosing to wrestle through deciphering historical accuracy and searching in vain to assign credit due for long-evaporated realities - but more scholarly vehicles exist for such endeavors. Mank, after all, is Netflix movie and to your credit you’ve survived almost all of 2020. You deserve a treat. You could do a lot worse than accepting this one. It’s a HECK YES.
