This has the bones of what made Salem's Lot a fantastic novel. The movie crashes through the plot at a breakneck pace leaving no time to develop characters or let the horror seep in. If this had been a series, I think it could fix many of these issues and been a pretty decent watch. The vampires looked incredible and the cinematography was quite good. Shame to see wasted potential such as this. If you're interested in a down and dirty speed run of Salem's Lot, this will scratch that itch, otherwise, watch better Stephen King adaptions this Holloween season.
