Years ago I found Charlie Waite's photograph of The Manger in the Vale of the White Horse (Oxfordshire Downs) in a NT magazine.
Quite apart from the photographic quality, colourful beauty of such an amazing landscape and sky, observing closely I found that it included the village of Woolstone where we had a thatched cottage at that time.
The NT, understanding my enthusiasm, allow me to contact Mr. Waite. I bought a copy of his photograph which me and my family still enjoy enormously. It is the brilliant memories of the English countryside, its natural monuments, my children's childhood, our labours, and our walks to The White Horse above The Manger. Unforgettable! Thank you Mr. Waite.
