Kingston Washburn

It's a popcorn epic. Entertaining. But don't take the rather crazy plot line seriously. Historical fantasy but the visuals of the Roman army and costumes and scenery was accurate. Numidia probably had greater defenses than portrayed and a higher culture. The story line is mixed up and melodramatic almost like searches for an elaborate plot to justify the fight scenes and ending. The ending is yet another cautious lesson to avoid the fall to dictator which the Trump presidency ominously promises.

This film was recommended by my teacher at Stanford University. Course on the Fall of Rome. He said." It's wasn't too bad for Hollywood. ". I am still watching the film
