An honest review after owning both the editions of the book. This is a must have book along with the 1st edition (50% data of that book is missing in this book). In other words this edition completes the 1st edition. (Only that in some chapters answers are misplaced by 1 or 2 places but that is nothing to worry about if u r a grown up and understand the issue is not with the table of answers but with the explanation whereby the order of question gets disturbed just by 1 or 2 places) I tell you by example . In the chapter on LEADERS AND THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS the topics missing (present in 1st edition) are: 1. Jaya Prakash Narayan 2. Madam Bhikaji Cama 3. Surendranath Banerjee 4. G. Subramanya Aiyar 5. Sir Aurobindo Ghosh 6. Periyar EV Ramaswamy 7. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya 8. Subhash Bose(some facts) While 2nd edition Adds these topics: 1. Gopal Hari Deshmukh 2. Rajkumari Amrit Kaur 3. Subhash Bose (Some facts) Hope you get my point. 1st edition has 324 pages (1058 questions) 2nd edition has 392 pages (1334 questions) My advice: Your notes along with these 2 question banks by Vinay GB and 1 by Ghatnachakra Purvavalokan wd suffice for the exam. Enough time if u r starting ur prelims preparation by 1 March. This book wd certainly come in handy to get the subject completed in 10 days. Best thing of the kind in the market. a must buy. Awaiting science and technology ,Polity second edition with major updation(CAB, Reservation Bill not covered in new Laxmikant) along with adaptive approach...wd be grateful if it comes within a month...that wd b prelims buster in my eyes.
