This movie sucks. It was slow and quiet the whole time, and at the end, the main character Kya, saves herself by lying to everyone about how she killed her ex. That ex, Chase, was a very bad guy that cheated on his fiance and raped Kya. Kya acted justifiably in self defense when Chase was raping and attacking her, but then instead of asking the police for help, she plotted to luer and murder Chase. The movie made it seem like lying to and convincing the court that she hadn't murdered Chase was a heartfelt theme. Chase was a bad man. It was not ok for him to assault and rape Kya. Evenso, plotted murder is an injust and unethical response. If Kya had accidentally killed Chase when acting in self defense, then she would be innocent, but since she purposely luered Chase to his death later and attempted to cover her tracks, Kya is simply guilty. There are many other better potential responses in such situations. This movie makes it seem like murder is justified if you're scared to talk to the authorities. She killed him because she was scared he'd come back and attack her, so she attacked him. "If you fight fire with fire, the world ends up in flames" "Being mean to bullies just makes more bullies"
Also, be aware that this movie contains child abuse and sexual intimacy. Kya and a man get naked together like 3 times. It only shows the mans torso and Kya's back and sides.
