Creative story that had potential but a poor execution for a number of reasons, firstly some of the actors almost didn't come across as believable mainly the ones that acted in the 2023 era of the story, that let the show down a bit, cause it felt like the director casted a poor group of people to play the roles during this era, however this was almost redeemed by the flashbacks into the earlier eras of the story, the victorian era was played extremely well, along with the ww2 era mainly due to the actors performances especially the victorian inspector he did a good job with his role same could be said about the guy that played the detective in the ww2 era even though his accent seemed too forced from time to time, and to be entirely honest, If this show didn't try take a creative twist on the murder mystery narrative and just played out a classic victorian murder mystery (all though simple) that would have probably made a better 8 episode series, another problem was some of the isolated events that took place, such as the 2023 detective finding that carving on the wall left by the Victorian detective, that event was so coincidental and un believable that she walked into a random dark crawl space and happened to observe the exact brick where the carving was left. ๐
