I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and I was surprised to see how many people did not. I did figure out who the spirit was early on, but even then I loved it. I don’t see the perspective of the ghost as a “gimmick,” even if it was. I love long, uncut shots that linger, and I’m okay without having every single question answered. I think leaving more things to interpretation is better, but so many want every detail mapped out for them. I like possibilities and using my brain to think about why things happened. I’m okay with ambiguity, and it makes the story more complex. We rarely have all the details in real life, but bits and pieces from our perspective and this is exactly what the film gave us in this instance.
