Both movies feature a ragtag group of rebels fighting against a powerful empire mysterious and powerful and they both have antagonist hero who is initially reluctant to join the fight, but eventually comes to realize that they have a role to play. My favorite is that in The Creator, the antagonist is the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI and in Star Wars, the antagonist is Darth Vader. Don't forget Aaron the director of The Creator produced Rogue One.
