A good film despite what l consider a very very POOR ending. Despite the risk his loyal gang take to rescue Wade, he turns on them in the end like a schizophrenic and cowardly guns down all his remaining men without giving them a chance to defend their lives. What kind of coward does this?
I found this ending abysmal spoiling the entire movie for me. The old saying, โno good deed goes unpunishedโ applies here. Wade in the end turns out to be nothing more than cold blooded killer by murdering his very men that put their necks on the line to save him.
He is disloyal and treacherous and schizophrenic. With โfriendsโ like Wade, who needs enemies? If you donโt mind films with what I consider disappointing endings, then by all means enjoy this otherwise decent and well acted movie. It was filmed in my home state of New Mexico to the filmโs merit.
