Overall the movie is ok, it definitely has good and bad points.
If youโre into a cheesy predicable thriller like me then itโs definitely worth a watch.
Spoiler
The movie has a lot of plot holes. Iโm not a professional climber but even I cringed at some of the obvious mistakes and exaggerated scenes.
If they can cast Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the dad ๐คทโโ๏ธ then why not hire a professional climber for advice.
The main girls acting was not bad. I think she portrayed the scenes well and I found her believable.
However what was not believable is how someone who has suffered with extreme anxiety & depression for a year after watching her husband fall to his death can then just get over it with a quick conversation and a deep breath. I wish it was that easy.
Then the best friend. Wow she was annoying. I cringed ALOT at the dialog and just her pure stupidity.
In a day and age when people do anything for a good live stream it was believable to a point but someone who is meant to have been traveling the world doing extreme stunts at a professional level would then climb this tower with no safety measures in place, is just abit too unbelievable for me.
The main one for me is telling absolutely no one where they were going. ๐
I thought they did well with the height. Iโm really afraid of heights. I once went into my loft and had a panic attack trying to get back down. Ridiculous I know.
The movie did really well making me believe they were so high up in the sky. I honestly couldnโt look when they were hanging off the edge. It made me feel sick.
The majority of the film was really predictable. I knew the boyfriend was going to die at the beginning, I knew the best friend was having an affair but there is a twist towards the end of the film that I didnโt see coming.
After that unfortunately the film is quick to end and the last 10mins is super rushed to the point where I thought, what just happened?
