I absolutely love this new Batman series, people who are complaining about high ranking black people not being accurate in the 1940's need to get over themselves. You should not be watching this show for a history lesson, this universe obviously sides steps racism and issues with sexual orientation LIKE MOST CARTOONS DO to portray a world of equality. A world where people are judged on the content of their character and not the color of their skin. You know a world that we should be living in anyway. The diversity in this new series is amazing and NECESSARY as Batman fans are DIVERSE and the show should reflect that. Jim and Barbara are fantastic and Barbara easily has the best female design, she's as beautiful as she is smart and compassionate: the original batgirl would be proud. I really enjoyed the gender bend with penguin as he was a bit of a boring character, and this new penguin seems more cold hearted and murderous than the original. The show however is not perfect, it needs more Batman and lacks some of the more fantastical elements of the original, but it's still a great show and this is only the first season. If fans want to see the same old thing over and over just go watch the original, but I found the changes in this series refreshing. For all of you constantly using words like woke and DEI , your all just racist , thats your problem. People of color especially black people always deserve to be represented and that includes Castlevania , Blood of Zeus , Star Trek , ETC. the list goes on and on. GET OVER IT!
