Crap second half. Tests your patience

Maaveran is a delightful watch... Lots of laughter moments upto interval and few good ones in the second half. Yogi Babu lives up to his expectations. He keeps tickling your funny bone right from first scene till the last scene. SK plays a very subtle super hero and a very good one at that. The fight sequences are a treat to watch with SK and the voice over. Director Madonne Ashwin has a rich legacy with "Mandela" and this is another feather in his cap. Writing towards the end (pre climax and climax) could have been better. Few repetitive words like "M*****" could have been avoided given the fact that children will throng the theatres. Still the movie is a thorough family entertainer. Go for it.

It is just not a movie about landslide or survival. There is a metaphor in the story. Fahadh takes rebirth in the second half and he is fantabulous to watch on screen. The sound effects are very good. It feels like raining in the theatre. Rahman's score and his humming elevates the scenes where Fahadh is fighting for survival. Deserves a watch in theatres

This movie does not preach about agriculture. It makes you feel it and feel for it. Spectacular photography, the peacocks, sarcastic humour, old lord murugan songs enhancing the mood are the highlights. Rachael Rebecca in the role of the judge is one of the noteworthy performances Definite 5 stars! Manikandan keeps rocking

Towards the end of the movie, one of the lead characters kills a high profile politician in his farmhouse. The guy who murdered is surrounded by police and he tells them to wait for 2 minutes. While the police stand like clowns waiting for him to return, he goes inside the farmhouse and takes a sip of wine! The above scene sums up the movie. Karthik subbaraj puts up a show and tries to demonstrate his heroes as a larger than life demons throughout the movie. A commerce teacher who drinks liquor for the first time in his life at 40, goes on to build a liquor empire in the state. He can bash a dozen rowdies even when he is drunk too much. A cop from a family following Gandhian ideology has the power to take his gun and shoot whoever he likes to and whenever he likes to! What an understanding of Gandhian ideology and also encounters! Tell your brain to shut down any logical reasoning while watching the movie and you will enjoy Vikram's style and swag 😎
