Steven Risner

This is one of the best telenovelas for learning Spanish. They all speak very slowly and enunciate perfectly. I'm not fluent by any means, but this was the first telenovela I was able to watch without ANY subtitles and I was able to understand probably 80-90%. LOVED it for that. Did NOT love it for ALL the flashbacks. Sometimes they would flashback to things that happened in the SAME episode. The daughter was insufferable. Flavia was amazing. Ms Spear was radiant and may she rest in eternal peace. The show is literally an "almost gonna get caught" for the entire series until the last episode. I wish there was more drama with the main storyline throughout the series. I finished this after watching Pecados Ajenos, and maybe that is the issue. That one was wild each and every episode. It was so intense. Pasion Prohibida is more of a simmer.

Refreshingly hysterical. It's the perfect balance of real life humor and over-the-top antics. More, please! PLUS: Jane is back! (If you know, you know)
