Had to make a review myself after seeing the plain stupidity of some other reviews. The anime references a lot of themes of the game, there are genma souls, there are transformations, demon-enhanced/ressurected humans, the classic demon soldiers from the game as well. While it does lack on actual complete monster demons instead of mutated or recreated demons that are enhanced from human forms i was very pleased with the whole plot of the anime as it does feel like onimusha, it is not a gamey adaptation with apparently some people wanted even if it would make no sense at all for an anime series but it does pretty much feel like a plot for a game and it has the right vibes and the right style. If you are a fan but have enough of a brain to understand this isn't gonna be gamified television and instead just gonna be a good anime adaptation that has the right vibes you got it.
