Its great to hear The Black Keys, now a mainstream band, repeatedly defy an easy definition. Neither do they fit neatly into any specific “genre.” That’s quite obviously why they get on with the musical genius of Beck, who is also constantly evolving and creating new music that is edgy and interesting, while being great to listen to. Great stuff ! Let it grow on you. And yes it contains pop rock. Dan Auerbach is clearly the heart of their sound, so comparisons to his other incarnations are valid. However Drummer Carney brings a punch as great as any of the greats and that is why, together; The Black Keys STILL make great magic 🤩 unlike any other band !! Standout track: On the game
