Slow start covering the usual necessary "... this is how he survived" and rehabilitation, got to the point of them laying out 'job offer' at the cabin-in-the-woods scene, then followed 5mins of totally wooden Idris Elba dialogue ... (painful to watch) ... I switched off, IE's apparent 'I read the script on the way in' (under)performance killed the whole expectation that what followed would be anything like the quality of the first movie, shame. I'll be back to update if I convince myself to stick with in the hope IE plays little part in the remainder of the film ... or makes some effort at least. OK I stuck it out and bloody great movie ... but ... the ending 5mins with another appearance by the dreaded wooden IE leaves me more than a little worried he'll turn up more prominently in the next sequel ... if so I'll give it a miss ... we shall see 😆
