On the positive side show presents some interesting evidence of very early human activity. The material is definitely thought provoking and interesting.
The cons have a lot to do with the execution and the way the host approaches the subject matter. The host keeps talking about some "early civilization" that "organized archeology" doesn't want to consider. What does he mean by "early civilization"? He never clarifies the geographical extent, population or level of technology he thinks this group of people had. He also never brings in perspectives from actual archeologists - he basically portrays them as a conspiracy to undermine "The Truth". Finally, every piece of evidence is overly sensationalized. I could believe that the roots of civilization go deeper than the archeological consensus currently thinks, but if this guy wants to prove that, he isn't doing himself any favors with his presentation style. You change science by synthesizing a better explanation, not by crusading against "the establishment".
