The Guy

This is a bad movie. I don’t even think you could call it writing. There are dozens of ghostbusters running around and you don’t really care about any of them. It’s hard to pinpoint whether it’s the writing, actors, directing, dullness, the antagonist or general fatigue that sets in after a few minutes. This is a movie where your gut tells you to bail out after 10 minutes. You should listen. Update: after careful reflection, I will call this the worst movie I have ever seen. They took a truly original classic film and removed all of the fun, comedy, plus every ounce of movie magic. The unbelievable accolades that reviewers here are trying to bestow on this stinker is astounding.

Clever. silly. smarter than you think it is. Puns galore and some great comedy actors. Ignore all of the negative comments. Also do not watch if you do not understand Seinfeld.

This movie is my kind of movie, and I cannot relate to the negative reviews. The actors are phenomenal and the writing and direction very sharp. The concept and reveal take their time and give the viewer the freedom to make their own observations. This is a film which scratches my itch of no set formula. There is no graphic sex, stupid romances, trash talking characters or useless parts. There are no robots blasting aliens or suspension of belief twists. There is some absurdity but the characters realize it and try to best make their way. It takes time to develop then it builds momentum all the way through. You will see hints of other film concepts but the take away is - I would like to see this again and that is a rare movie in my opinion.
