I’ve seen other people say this too, but honestly, the movie was super overrated. There was so much hype leading up to the release, and it just didn’t live up to it. There were so many confusing parts that didn’t really make sense. Like… why did she feel the need to take all the kids? What did they even do to help her? Was it some kind of energy thing, or what? And then the way they brutally killed her at the end felt so unnecessary. I didn’t understand the point of that giant gun either, and they made such a big deal about 2:17. I get that it was the time she finished her spell or whatever, but if they were going to emphasize it that much, it should’ve had a deeper meaning. It wasn’t even scary. The trailer made it seem like a completely different movie. And yeah, they do come back. They do get found. I don’t know, it was just too overhyped, and I went in with high expectations for it to end up being super mid.
