This movie is awesome. The animation style is that beautiful middle ground between an art piece as backgrounds and creatures but a more simplistic, goofy style on the characters. The story is a little flat and predictable if you grew up watching magic school bus, but it gets all it's points across in a way easily digestible for a young audience. I especially like that no one makes a big deal about Ethan being gay. I was worried they would be cliché and have the grandfather be all disapproving and that would take over the plotline, but I love how in that universe it's such a non-issue that no one even brings it up. My daughter and I have watched it three times in as many days, we love it.
