It is different; Good different.

Interesting move. The animation grows on me steadily. My eyes do need to adjust. It is a different kind of movie. This movie is full of Easter eggs if that's what you like. It is also very fast spaced. For those who do not have patience; this movie is their ideal Disney movie. The songs were beautiful and I like the concept of a dictator within the story. However, I still do not understand why people would just trust some King to protect their wishes. This notion of giving away your wish is weird. But to give away, only to get relief from its desire is even weirder. I do not really get it. If it is part of you, then why even sail towards this Kingdom and give it away? I do wish to know some background story of the side-characters.

I do not understand why some people hate or ban this movie. I guess if they are allowed to hate it, then I am allowed to love it, because I do. The story line is well rounded. The animation is different and unique. I love Nimona; she is incredible. The villain is actually a villain. I would not regard this movie as being 'woke'. This movie, like all other movies, has an interesting tale to tell about the painfulness of society's hate and misunderstandings. Ironic enough, the hate that society gives to this movie, is the same hate that the citizens give towards Nimona. Interesting...

The beginning was interesting and the characters were new and unique, but the movie overall was very confusing. They tried to make Snow empathetic, while acknowledging his cruelty, which make it felt like force-fitting his character. The characters of the tributes were not explored as deep, except for Rachel Zegler's. Zegler's character started off as kind of rebellious, but this wasn't during the entire movie and her character jumped from being sad to happy within the blink of an eye. It looked almost as if her character had bipolar disorder. Almost all of the shots were of her eyes and face and she sung songs from the other Hunger Games, which was clearly trying to bring in nostalgia, but it ended up feeling cheese and cheap for me. During the storyline I constantly had to guess 'Why?' something was going on. Most characters made some stupid decisions, which did not fit with the intelligence of their character. Most of the movie is also filled with dialogue, which makes it boring. I do not believe that other people actually like this movie, but I will give it one star, because they did use a lot of CGI. The most exiting part was the fight between the tributes, but without knowing who they really were, I could not care that much about them. Overall: this movie was cheesy, trying to find support in the nostalgia for the other Hunger Games movies, while the setting, plot, conflicts, resolutions and ending did not make sense. I also got bored by all of the dialogue.

I grew tired of the Bollywood movies which were mimicking Hollywood. I wanted stories from India, form an Indian perspective and this movie hit the right spot. Very well done.

This movie does not make any sense. The 2003 Peter Pan was perfectly made. This one is really bad in the sense that it copies scenes from that movie and the mystery behind Peter Pan is not explored. Peter Pan is a mysterious boy. This movie glances over it, as if the audience already knows everything about him. The metaphors are also not clearly shown. In the 2003 version for example, the weather of Neverland is clearly linked to the emotions and moods of Peter Pan and Captain Hook is clearly the old guy, who is alone and quite the opposite of Peter Pan. There was a clear struggle between being young and being old. And the fear of Captain Hook for the ticking crocodile is the same as the fear for time, old age and death. In this movie these metaphors are not clearly represented. It is not worth anyone's time to watch it. Better to watch the 2003 version and enjoy life's precious limited time.
