Non Historical. Benedict is made to look like a bumbling old man and Bergoglio like the sage of the times. Nonsense. Projection as to what was THE reason why Benedict stepped down. Time will tell. Bergoglio did tremendous damage in Buenos Aires with the child abuse scandal. He protected priest abusers and abandoned the victims. He has made laws to punish bishops who knew and yet moved on child molesters. Yet makes himself free from his own laws. If he was truly honest he would step down.
