Slow, boring, and utterly disappointing. The gripping and compelling investigatory framework for the book is replaced by a long line of murder vignettes without real context or explanation. And a “love story” between two one dimensional characters. Horrible story telling. A true injustice to the book and to all of the human beings who actually lived the story. It seemed to me an attempt to be artistic was more important than telling a story that gripped the heart (which the book did). Not worth 1 hour of my life, let alone three. All that talent. Wasted!
