I am a huge Mario fan but this movie disappointed me. I felt like the movie was way to childish which is what I would probably expect from illumination first of the story was not that good. in the movie they basically had a montage of Mario and peach going through each world and not even adding any adventure to it and it felt kind of rushed. second peach was nothing like how she would be in the games. in the Mario games there's this damsel in distress that needs saving from the evil bowser, but in this movie she like a powerful women that is strong and could fight off enemies near her. last was Toad. I felt like he was just there as a joke and had no story or backstory and was just the person you laugh at in this movie. I shouldn't have really expected anything good from this movie because it was written by Mathew Fogell who works for Disney, but this is just my opinion on the movie.
