Just finished episode 5 and my God this is an absolute masterpiece. Each episode gives so much that each one feels like a film in itself. Redmayne is a powerhouse with his sleek, cunning, intimidating and chameleon like demeanour he puts across with his character. This series will stand the test of time, because of its story, its premise, its characters and finally, the way it’s been filmed. It’s a masterclass of a production that rivals big name blockbusters. I never would have put down Redmayne on my list of possible actors to portray Bond, but honestly for me it would be almost a no brainer! Lynch also delivers a stellar performance, and the way she portrays her “by any means necessary” character really has you question her ethics, so much so that you find yourself clearly rooting for a murderous assassin instead. A fantastic series that I cannot wait to continue, and dread to finish.
