The Acolyte story is still being told, so to suggest that lore or cannon is being changed is ridiculous. Come back once the story is over, you'll then be able to write an informed review rather than a half-baked one. Being objective, up until episode four, I found the Acolyte slow, naff and full of holes. However, for a show created by Leslye Headland, I think some of those things can be expected at this point. Episode five is by far the best so far and I expect all holes to be filled and loose ends to be knotted and tied by the end of episode eight.
