I began reading with trepidation bc the book starts fiercely, portraying the reality of war. Soon I began to hear Isabel Allende’ voice from within the rage and I was mesmerized by her writing yet again. Having read all her obra, Largo Pètalo de Mar might be among my favorites of her books.
