Of course, this movie isn't as good as the first and second movies, but it's a huge improvement over the third. This movie, though it isn't as comedic or lighthearted, perfectly ends the series. It's such a good conclusion, and I would completely recommend it. Give it a try. (Also don't watch Shrek: The Third).
