Unnecessarily complicated and fast paced. First episode is like Dexter, feels very eerie and cold. But the second episode just ruins everything. I couldn't understand what was happening. There's like 10 different subplots happening and none of them make any sense. The trial, mayor, Bible, letter, phone call. Trying too hard i guess, gave up after half of episode 2.

Might be one of the best shows I've ever watched. Love the wierd greenish tint look and all the amazing songs Henry listens to lol. I don't have too many issues with the show but I find it really annoying when Henry has a breakdown whenever she does something stupid and gets into trouble (yet again). Another major plot being sexual abuse, which I didn't felt like it went anywhere, it wasn't supposed to be treated like a side story. They needed to get to the point quicker and be more direct. Best part about this show is how much potential it has. Warning some spoilers ahead!! With how everything unfolded in S02, i get so excited thinking about the possibilities of another show. You could make a S3 easily from the S02 ending, or a show following Lucas and Henry getting along with Menonites. Maybe some crime solving alongside religious nutjobs? I'd watch that. Also shootout to Esther, you creep me out. Her & Lucas's acting is so good. Overall 8.5/10.
