How this is rated so well by some people is beyond me. Ok … it looks pretty good. Thats where the goodness ends. The story is silly. Kids steal spaceship that happens to have face huggers aboard. There is nothing really new on offer. except for kids this time. In fact, there is so much borrowed, seemingly deliberately, from every other film in the series, it just turns out like a kids slasher with nostalgia. Sadly i have to place this along side Resurrection as a movie i will watch just the once. Every other film in the series has had at least 3 views … with the first 2 probably in double figures. What annoys me most, just like Terminator. is there is a huge scope for story telling in this series, yet they decided to make the same thing again and again.

Seemed to drag on. It got incredibly boring.

I just mustn't get it. It looks great. I love the actors. But the story is just incoherent to me. I've been looking forward to this all year. I love The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass. Bly Manor was okay. I love Edgar Allan Poe's works. But this just doesn't grab me at all. I can see Flanagan is trying to bring in a lot of Poe's elements from other stories, and doing the modern and boring thing of updating them for 'modern audiences', but i feel he's tried too hard here. The balance is wrong and the Gothic is gone. His other similar productions are all still very Gothic in atmosphere.

I loved this. The atmosphere was amazing and it completely sucked me in. I watched it a year ago but i was distracted with something, and i decided to watch it again just now. I'm almost giving up on modern movies. This was a piece of hope.

I love this film so much. I just happened to watch it while at someone's home and it was playing. Seen it a few times since.... like right now.

Wow what an amazing film. I would have seen this as the cinema had i known about it at the time.

Well that was a welcome relief. i only came across this by accident. Im pleased there are still real TV shows being made somewhere.
