Why is the acting so bad and why is it even on Netflix?

Bit of a cobbled together mishmash. Prequels are hard, look at what they did to Star Wars. Similar job, some funny touches which will make die hard Soprano forms lol but although you can see a franchise being set up it would have to really improve a standard of acting and directing that was reminiscent of Cleaver.
