"Creature Commandos" struggles to establish its originality, feeling more like a rehash of concepts we've already seen in "Suicide Squad" or "Peacemaker." The premise, tone, and even character dynamics lean heavily on the blueprint of its predecessors, leaving little room for fresh storytelling. The first episode started painfully slow, much like the recent "Suicide Squad Isekai," making it a less-than-engaging introduction. While there were some jokes sprinkled throughout, many of them failed to hit the mark, and the occasional fan service felt more like a distraction than a meaningful addition. Overall, the series lacks the spark to set it apart from the crowded field of antihero team-ups. It has potential, but the first episode didn’t quite deliver on expectations.
