Rajat Kapoor & Raina are Perhaps the best pair representing the sleuth & his assistant on celluloid. Obviously on a limited budget & a limited time restricted to an episode on series they do their parts wonderfully . The director is a renowned one & the ambience is set in that period . Only if we could see what happened in the nights ( because that is shown as completely dark, with only the audible dialogues) , it would have been slightly more clarified ., more appreciable . But perhaps at night , without lights at that point , in the story , darkness is natural . Probably the director did that only. Overall a very Engrossing watch with good background score , in simplistic style , one thing lacking in these times.

What a emotional joyful experience! Hats off to the players & their coach . Aamir Khan deals with diverse subjects , many of them social . Here again he deals with inclusiveness of differently ' normal ' individuals . Genelia is refreshing . And the players steal the show , as their coach observes there is so much to learn from them . A lovely watch .

The writer, in his stories provides a mirror of the then society & paints his characters & their thoughts turmoil feelings. Gulzar ji takes up this particular story & paints a cinematic presentation , concentrating on the fragrance of undying love between the two lead magnificent characters, in an excellent way , his signature style. The characters are beautifully enacted by the actors. By not focusing on the original story's total content , his treatment makes the movie a feel good one omitting the bitter elements prevalent in many forms in the then social structure, particularly in rural societies. The result - a beautiful poetic movie.

Once watched, it remains with you. You want to revisit it again & again. Love , faith , spirit in the face of adversity glisten like wonderful stars.

Very good one . Very relevant, Heart touching , rich content. Treatment is so good. Appreciable by all ages. Rakhi Gulzar just shines , & Sabitri Chatterjee's sense of comedy timing is too good, even at this age. All other characters do their roles perfectly. Audience thirsts for good cinema & this is one such.

Very absorbing watch. Superb understated performance by Alia Bhatt . Audience can become one with her and understand her difficulty & turmoil of emotions, as she devotes herself completely to her ' Watan ' & just steels herself to go through everything. The other actors support her absolutely appropriately.
