After playing a couple hours of this game I am extremely disappointed and feel as though I wasted my money. I played the original Dungeon Defenders for maybe 500 hours or so. I loved the art style, the massive amount of content, the ease of use on the UI, and I never felt as though it was clunky. Dungeon Defenders Awakened however is the opposite of that. They have over simplified the art which gave the original DD so much charm. It's like this company is not even trying. I purchased the game to play couch co-op, which it was advertised as so, but alas there was none, and 2 years later there is still no couch co-op. There is a lot about the controls that feels incredibly clunky. I like how you can customize your character. And I do like how there are quick ways of pulling up your menus which the first DD didn't have. But I found that it lacked the charm DD once had by lacking certain animations and sound effects in the UI. I really miss the old DD. If you are wanting a game like the original Dungeon Defenders then play the original. The original looked better, felt better, sounded better, and is better.
