I have found all the Strike novels engrossing but this one dragged me so deep into the dark, manipulative world of a cult that at times the tension was unbearable. I really feared for the safety and sanity of Robin undercover and am in awe of the character's bravery and humanity. I have finished reading the book and will now listen to the audio as there is so much to take in.
