Steve Miller

An utterly immature effort, with odd anachronistic characters that don't fit the story well (really a lame revamp of Wishmaster, a much better film) or dovetail into the reality of the 80s. Really, nothing about the film screams 80s other than a few fashion choices and cameo by a trash can, noticed by reincarnated Steve Trevor. Gal Goddess is easy on the eyes but STILL can't act her way out of paper bag. Silly effects too. Why was this goofy thing made???

Could have been improved with Klaus Barbie.

A well-balanced, informative, sometimes insightful overview of the Manhattan Project but with obvious flaws in casting, pacing and a long-winded plot. Three hours feels like four, somewhat like Ghandi, which I'll never revisit but glad I saw once.
