I understand that any video adaptation of a 14-book series is going to need to change some things, but they have made some totally un-necessary character story changes that completely chucked me out of the show so hard I couldn't even finish the first episode. One of the boys is suddenly married? Another boy's father is suddenly a womanizer and his mother is a drunken wreck? The writing and directing team are totally disconnected from the source material at that point. I will not be watching it.
