At the outset, "Twisters" feels like it’s stuck in a monotonous script, with performances that lack genuine emotion. Even when the entire initial cast is swept away by a tornado, the reactions are flat and uninspired. The characters, from the nerds to the cowboys, seem like clichés without any fresh or creative elements. I wish the actors had portrayed their roles with the authenticity and realism you’d expect in real life. The primary issue with many sequels is that they often just rehash the plot of the original film. This lack of originality in Hollywood becomes glaringly obvious when sequels simply recycle the same storyline without offering anything new or innovative. I found it so disappointing that I eventually stopped watching.
