I've only played the first bit of campaign, and I will try to finish it, but this doesn't feel like halo. There's just something off about these newer games, and infinite is no exception. The enemies, music, and world of halo is all on the screen but the soul is gone. Remember halo ce? When you started back tracking through maps and there was this mix of solemnity, despair, you against the world? That was my absolute favorite part of the whole series. You can tell they tried to recreate it by chief being the lone survivor - hell, halo two started the same way; blowing up a ship captured by the enemy. The same way ce ended. It's really a disappointment so far. It's worth having game pass on Xbox to try it out, not worth buying the game outright. I miss being 12 years old and trying to beat halo two on legendary with my dad. I wouldn't even show him this game. It would ruin the memories.
