I think this movie cant even compare to 8mile. It's alright at best. I do have a few problems with it though. I dislike the effects as its unnecessary and adds nothing to the movie. I hate the music as it's not playing in the background and that makes it feel like it doesn't have the same level of authenticity of battle rap on the streets. 8mile captures real battle rap in a better way. I dislike the main character aswell as he seems like a dick. He doesn't learn anything except that he can rap. He battles his friend and he wasnt ment to go far in. His friend trusted him and he stabbed him in the back. And when his friend leaves him he doesn't even care. I think megaton should have won in the final battle as he had way better bars and the main character just stood there and turned red. And when he does come back his delivery was awful especially on the angry bird line. He says a few things and megaton decides that he cant do anything about it and let's him win while we hear music blaring in our ears. In 8mile eminem wins his final battle by embarrassing his opponent and telling the audience stuff about himself so his opponent cant say anything and that's how he wins. It's in contrast to the beginning when eminem freezes on stage and loses and in the movie we see him progress. This doesn't happen in bodied.
