Deadpool 2 is just like its predecessor. A funny, violent, R-rated, superhero action movie, and I loved every second of it. This movie does a good job of not being too much like the first movie, but keeping just enough of it in there to feel familiar. This is something that so many sequels do, which is what makes some sequels not good. They try too hard to be like the first and so it’s just boring, or they are nothing like the first movie and then it just doesn’t feel like it belongs in the series. Deadpool 2 is a movie that is able to still be it’s own movie but also feels like the first one. Ryan Reynolds once again does a great job in the role and of course Josh Brolin as cable is a much better villain than Francis was. It sucks that we might not see another Deadpool movie, or at least not this version. This is such a good superhero and such a good character that I hopefully will see more of.

Now I am a fan of Kevin Hart as a comedian. I am also a fan of Bryan Cranston (mostly because of Breaking Bad). I am also a pretty big fan of the original 2011 French movie The Intouchables. So going into this movie I was excited to say the least. I can thankfully say that this movie is very good. Not only does Kevin Hart easily give his best performance he’s ever given (that’s not really saying much) but this movie is the best adaptation of this story (second to The Intouchables). The movie is heartwarming, uplifting, and actually pretty funny. The characters for the most part are well written and you do care for all of them. The whole subplot of Kevin Hart and his son in my opinion made you care more for the character of Dell and I thought was a great way for you to really start to like this character. Bryan Cranston did a good job as Phillip, the quadriplegic who the movie is centered around. Even Nicole Kidman did a good job as Yvonne, Phillips executive. The comedy in this movie isn’t the comedy you would probably expect from Kevin Hart or Bryan Cranston. It’s laughs for the most part aren’t big gags, they are instead based around the relationship between Dell and Phillip and the things that they do and how they interact is what really brings the laughs in. The movie does have its flaw and it’s nowhere near as good as the 2011 version, but that shouldn’t stop you from seeing it. This movie is a fun and an enjoyable movie that makes you feel good and will certainly put a smile on your face.
