You can see how the actors changed as the film progressed. They look crazed. Drugs definitely involved along with the extreme scenes probably induced a level of psychosis. I think there's some snuff involved.

It's slow and imo depends on the viewer's life experience to really connect... I thought it was really heavy. Very heavy. Amazing lead (who's been in many films as a support)

Pffff... 5 ☆ ?? Not a chance. 1 dimensional.. unbelievable.. nonsense.

Probably the most charming movie ever made. Something about early 80s movies.. Definitely on a best of list

It's probably 4 stars, since Hereditary and the Shining are 5... but I have a soft spot for good psychological thrillers with solid storyline. This is soooooo good. 4☆ +1 cuz Aussies are carrying the genre these days. If you're into GOOD horror like The VVitch.. A Dark Song.. Relic.. A24 stuff.. DEFINITELY WATCH !!!

Big fan of The Man With No Name.. but Clints a one trick pony. Same idiosyncrasies for every character he plays and dated cliché for every film. It's become an eyeroll. Pretty boring film , and what stands out is what doesn't work. Bad writing. Unrealistic...and plenty silly.

Maybe its dated? I found it cliche, with a storyline that just seemed too contrived...except for the guy that ran thru the ctr field wall

John Leguizamo has got to be the most irritating 1 trick donkey in movies. This movie is just frustrating...

Truly one of a kind. Gloria Swanson plays the role in the most unique, over the top way..and it works. PERFECTLY. A story set in the very small world of an aging Hollywood Star that, with the help of her devoted 'butler', is still holding on to the idea that she is a star... an accidental meeting with a younger, out of work and down on his luck screenwriter turns into just another prop for her self-deception...an amazing hollywood story with no antagonist other than time, age, human psyche and heartache. A MUST SEE movie.

This is the most disturbing film I've ever seen. It literally left me traumatized, and in a bit of a daze for almost a week after watching. As someone with a lot of experience with the street, drugs, and addiction...I can say that even the more 'over the top' aspects of the film are totally realistic. While a part of me wants to say this is the worst movie I've ever seen, thats why it deserves 10☆ ...but ill never watch it again
