After the mediocre showing film wise, Jon Favreau really has transformed the star wars universe. The comparisons have already been made with Firefly but it really is worth doing it again because this is without doubt a western in space. It's got heart and soul in abundance and relies on great plot and characterisation rather than fancy SFX and green screens. Can't wait for season 2.

A satisfying end to a mediocre trilogy. It's still streets above the last jedi and better than the force awakens but leaves a lot of unanswered questions. It grates that the extended universe has been totally ignored by Disney and that korriban which would have been a far more suitable end planet was also ignored but for the most part I enjoyed it immensely.
