I typically find Bill Mayer’s show to be a breath of fresh air, this last episode made it hard to think that way. I will continue to watch and respect everyone having their own opinions but when they are arriving at facts through disinformation I have to speak up. When Bill speaks of Christianity he shows how ignorant he truly is on this subject. When you set out to prove something wrong before you ever even try to understand it? Well , then you are acting like what you hate. First , from the 4 Gospels Jesus came to fame in the Middle East as a prophet who was feared to have power to over throw the government. He never did that nor did he attempt to, he gave us life by laying down his life freely. When the Jewish authorities were expecting a Marvel type super hero ( as Bill described) they got Jesus who they killed. Jesus , rose to fame by exposing religion, presenting a powerful , liberating , new life the life of spirituality. Jesus isn’t religion he is life and spirit. So often in America , believing in Jesus gets twisted into a corrupt religion when that is exactly what Jesus stood against and gave his life to free us from. So often evangelicals like Marjorie Taylor Green corrupt the image of Jesus by polluting peoples mind with godless racism, hatred , xenophobia, sexism, etc. Jesus stood for non of that , god preserves human life , and does not have fear . So often I see Christians running in fear from homosexuality, abortion , things they are taught to fear without question. This leads to them being sheep believing very stupid things , Qanan , Trump , pro life laws , racist policies , embracing the KKK. This type of behavior shows religion which does not promote faith or freedom, rather it is oppressive and creates sheep who lack sense and logic. Their is no excuse for this breakdown of morals and complete stupidity. It just makes me sad that some people now hate and fear Christian’s and Christians hate and fear them. All of this caused by misinformation from both sides , Christians who don’t know their own god, and the people from their own community they reject , push away , judge , even murder. When now their opposition the liberals, who reject them. Most sane loving people I know are born again liberal or just liberal. I was raised in a conservative Christian household , endured years of physical and mental child abuse . As an adult I obviously ran to sex and substance abuse . God has liberated me and set me free from addiction , some physical ailments of addiction as well. God is now set me on a path of discovery to a therapist who practices EMDR therapy healing me from the abuse I endured. I credit God and the son of God Jesus , the Holy Spirit that guides me in wisdom to seek science for healing. I believe as humans have been in evolution for whatever millions of years we have been evolving we are learning to grow into the powerful creation that god created us to be. I believe that god created us through an evolutionary process , I believe that god created the planets . I believe that god created science , I believe in chilling out and having faith. We cannot explain everything but we can use common sense to get along and respect one another. That being said , racism , terrorists from every race , xenophobia, Qanan deserve no respect, and they should be eradicated. We should not respect or give place to violent gas lighting terrorists whose only goal is destruction.
